Why Pacific Note?
It is no secret that the internet has radically altered the media landscape of how news is distributed and consumed. And that social media networks have taken prominence as a growing source of news not only around the globe but here at home as well. News organizations must adapt to meet this changing landscape in providing news that matters.
Pacific Note will be that link by creating original journalism keeping the audience well-informed and engaged, helping them to navigate a culture of information overload.
We believe that telling stories comes in many ways not only in written form, but in videos, pictures, and through the actual voices of the people who have lived to tell their stories. Pacific Note will be creating original video content and podcasting.
Pacific Note is guided by the editorial approach that in each community, near and far, there are stories to be told. Stories that put a human face to the real life issues – success stories and inspirational narratives alongside commentaries and hard-hitting critiques of policies. It provides up to the minute reporting and breaking news.
