The debate comes more than a month before the field is narrowed down to two candidates in the Sept. 27 primary.
PMC Chairman Moses Uludong said the members of the media have chosen four categories believed to be important issues to the public-the economy, health, law-and-order and education.
Each of the candidates will be given an opportunity to answer questions from the identified categories.
“As members of the media, we believe an open, insightful debate will allow candidates to outline their platforms and help voters make informed choices in the upcoming election,” Uludong said.
The debate will be held at the PCC cafeteria in Koror from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be broadcast live on radio.
In the second part of the debate, four PCC students will get to ask specific questions directed toward individual candidates.
President Remengesau is seeking re-election while the sitting Vice President is vying for the presidential post.
The two other candidates, Whipps Jr. and Pierantozzi are currently serving as senators
