Ngirameketii Wins Second Term For Ngiwal Governor

After the absentee ballots were counted last night, incumbent governor Ellender Ngirakemeketii only extended his lead over his two opponents to win his second consecutive term in office.

Ngirameketii had a commanding lead after the Palau tabulation concluded with 172 to Ngriameong's 135 and Takataro's 101.

Absentee votes also resulted in pushing incumbent legislator Francis "Titich" Termeteet from 11th place to a a seventh place finish, securing a seat in the state legislature.

Election results are not official until the Palau Election Commission certified the results.

3. Hideki Takataro - 119 votes
